G.J.Smith Bros is a 3rd generation family run business who have been trading for over 55 years in the construction industry in the South of England and London.

G.J.Smith Bros are known to specialise in conservation and listed building work, having worked on prestigious large houses such as Ufton Court (Berkshire), Farleigh House (Hampshire) and Fort Belvedere (Surrey), whilst also having the ability to carry out both large and small new builds, works of a more commercial nature and minor works.

The company was started in the 1950's as a 'one man band' by George Smith and quickly developed into a much larger outfit, growing both in terms of reputation and the value of contracts undertaken. In the early 1990's the company was taken over by George's son Stephen who continued in the same vane as his father, going on to tackle the largest projects in the company's illustrious history before semi-retirement in 2011. The company is now in the hands of Stephens son Richard who, albeit on a smaller scale, continues to uphold the principles of quality and service that have become synonymous with G.J.Smith Bros name.
